Aloha,
I am at Nyland Cohousing in Colorado on my way to Ecovillage Ithaca. This is our first time visiting Nyland. As soon as I arrived after a long night of travel from Hilo, my senses were immediately greeted by the fresh smell of pine and bird song. The folks we met on the path as we struggled with our suitcases were smiling and helpful. The is a feeling of aliveness and peace pervading this neighborhood of 42 homes. We are on route to Ecovillage Ithaca, where I base the course from during Summers. You will learn more about Cohousing and Ecovillages soon. On the way, we will stop in Buffalo to visit my mother, who is 86. The contrast of the row housing, locked doors and gray industrial skies, will be riveting. Every summer while we are at Ecovillage Ithaca, we discover cutting edges ideas and processes related to Sustainability, Communication and Culture. I will keep you posted. Also, if someone is looking for an individual project, I would like to update the interview that appears in Module 5. Send me an email if you are interested in collecting questions from the class, conducting and posting the new interview. More to come as we travel these next four weeks separately and together. ''
